History
The production played in repertory 27 July-10 October 2006 as part of the Complete Works Festival and from 7-11 November 2006 at Northern Stage, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Reviews
"...The evening has a lusty fluidity about it, a fair bit of manly swagger. The design is clean and unfussy, as modest as a medieval monastery, two pivoting screen-doors being the only major visual luxury. The costumes, elegant and simple, match the early 13th-century moment. Great salvos of Latin song are fired out between scenes, softening and soothing the hectic action" Dominic Cavendish ‘The Telegraph’ [UK] (7 August 2006).
