Synopsis
Glyndebourne Opera’s performance of Verdi’s Macbeth broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall in London. Polish lyric baritone Andrzej Dobber (Macbeth) leads an international cast that is directed by Geoffrey Dolton. Vladimir Jurowski conducts the Glyndebourne Chorus and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. While Acts 1 and 2 are based on the 1865 revision, the final scene of the opera is from the original 1847 version. Andrew McGregor presents.
