Stills: `The Maytime air of bucolic country pleasures has been turned into a weird hodgepodge of Celtic dancers, ghetto blasters and free-form partying, which juxtaposes nicely against the vaguely Edwardian feel of the court (if it’s supposed to be contemporary dress, why does D’Aquila look exactly like Wallis Simpson?), but doesn’t work to highlight the atmosphere suggested by the text’.
