Synopsis
Religious affairs radio programme presented by Florence Spurling. This episode explores Shakespeare and the religion of his day. At the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, a group of Performance Studies and Education students are in a workshop, performing the last scene of The Winter’s Tale. Shakespeare scholars Stephen Greenblatt, Jonathan Bate, Professor Bob White and Peter Holbrook join Florence Spurling in commenting on the play and what we know and surmise about religion in Elizabethan England.
