Synopsis

In the music video for Carrie Underwood’s "Before He Cheats" an angry Underwood walks down a New Orleans street while sparks and glass fly around her. Nashville-based Roman White, who won the CMT Director of the Year for the video, says he was inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, in which a betrayed sorcerer raises a massive storm to get revenge. "I love literature," he says. "I thought it would be cool if an enraged woman could literally blow stuff up".
