- Television broadcast, introduced by Beryl Grey, in honour of the 200th anniversary of the Bolshoi Ballet. The company revives Romeo and Juliet, music by Prokofiev and choreography by Leonid Lavrosky. Lavrosky’s son, Mikhail, dances the role of Romeo in this production, Natalia Bessmertnova is Juliet. Algis Shuraitis conducts.
