Synopsis
Documentary short which accompanied the U.S. broadcast of FALSTAFF (Unitel, 13/12/1985). It compares the treatment of The Merry Wives of Windsor by Verdi and Orson Welles, the former represented by clips from Unitel’s film of the opera, the latter by CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT. The commentary writer credit is unknown (5/2008).
