Synopsis
Unedited footage recorded during the rehearsals and two-week run (June 4-16, 1991) of The Shakespeare Theatre Company’s production of The Merry Wives of Windsor in the open-air amphitheatre in Washington, D.C. The footage includes a long interview with Paul Winfield (Falstaff) as he applies make-up and is fitted with a wig, rehearsal scenes with director Michael Kahn, and interviews with actors.
