Synopsis
Paula Vogel discusses her play Desdemona, a Play About a Handkerchief which employs characters from Othello. She discusses the main characters of the play and describes how she came to write a story for them. Excerpts are shown of a 1993 off-Broadway production of the play. After the clip, Vogel takes questions from the audience, describes her writing process, and talks about how she works with directors and actors. Introductory remarks are made by Jacqueline Z. Davis and Betty L. Corwin of the League of Professional Theatre Women.
