Stills: "Seen in the Christmas holidays, there were aspects of the set and the production that came up especially seasonable. By which I mean the toytown Tudor of John Bury’s London with its evocation of a child’s view of the Elizabethan city. And the streets themselves were peopled by saucy football playing urchins who broke windows and got high-placed clerics (inadvertently participating) into trouble."
