When Romeo Met Juliet

Synopsis
3-part reality television series in which two contrasting schools, over 8 weeks, put on a production of Romeo and Juliet to be staged at Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre. Each school is cast as one of the two feuding families: the Montagues come from a Coventry city centre comprehensive while the Capulets are from a Catholic school in the city’s northern suburbs. The children are guided by the artistic director of the National Youth Theatre, Paul Roseby and mentored by actors Adrian Lester and Lolita Chakrabarti.
