Synopsis
Graham Vick’s production of Verdi’s Otello for the Birmingham Opera Company. The production is set in a former industrial plant and the action unfolds in and around the audience. Ronald Samm is Othello, the first time a black tenor has sung the title role in a professional staging of the opera in the UK. Conducted by Stephen Barlow and narrated by Samuel West. Directed for television by Peter Maniura.
