Synopsis
Michael Boyd, artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, speaks on the RSC’s effort to adapt to cultural change in the twenty-first century. He examines the training of actors, the rehearsal process, the meaning of ensemble, audience expectations, the contract between audiences and actors, the ephemerality of theatre, and other related topics. Boyd also takes questions from audience members.
