Richard III: The King in the Car Park

Synopsis
Documentary about the hunt for the body of Richard III. When a skeleton was discovered under a Leicester council car park in September 2012, a battery of secret scientific tests was carried out to establish its identity. To date, no footage of these tests has been seen by anyone but the investigating team. The programme, made by the only team allowed to follow the scientists, tells every step, of the story. It also unveils a brand new facial reconstruction made from the skull and, in scenes to be shot just hours before broadcast, reveals the results of the final tests that will confirm or deny the body’s identity. With contributions from the Richard III Society and historians and archaeologists at the University of Leicester.
