- An app from the Royal Shakespeare Company and Samsung created to help 11-18 year olds experience Shakespeare, Focusing specifically on Much Ado About Nothing, RE:Shakespeare has three interactive sections - Play, Practice and Perform - each reflecting a different stage of learning. 1. Play. Three immersive games invites students to lip sync favourite lines; mix beatbox rhythms with Shakespeare’s text; and identify Shakespeare’s lines from hip-hop lyrics.
2. Practice. A unique 360 degree performance of two sections of Much Ado About Nothing before learning how to deliver lines with feeling and meaning with tips from actress Tamsin Greig, voice coach Nia Lynn and Director Iqbal Khan. 3. Perform. The student can get on stage at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and try out new found skills playing either Beatrice or Benedick opposite RSC actors Edward Bennett and Michelle Terry.
