Rahm
- Synopsis
- Feature film inspired by Measure for Measure and the action moving from Vienna to contemporary Lahore. The director addresses through the text of Shakespeare’s play issues relevant to contemporary Pakistani society. When a local governor retires from his role, he is succeeded by a ruthless man who abuses his power. He uses a bureaucratic anomaly to punish a married couple for pre-marital sex and imprisons the husband. The man’s sister beseeches him for clemency and is offered to chance to obtain her brother’s freedom by sleeping with the governor.
