Synopsis
A lecturer in Shakespeare from Kings College London, Dr Lucy Munro reviews the performances of Macbeth in the 1880s. Actors, Tom Lincoln and Eva Feiler give contrasting performances as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth respectively, as Dr Munro examines why late, 19th century audiences were particularly interested in the relationship between these singular characters.
