- Synopsis
- In an alternative present, England is ruled by a military dictator, King Lear (Anthony Hopkins). In deciding upon his successor, Lear makes the mistake of being swayed by the flattery of his perspective heirs with disastrous consequences for him and the one child who truly loves him.
