Burke and Hare
- Synopsis
- A largely fictionalised black comedy based on the activities of the eponymous grave robbers. In this version of events, one of the motivations for the criminal actions of William Burke (Simon Pegg) is his desire to bankroll a stage production by his girlfriend (Isla Fisher) of an all-female Macbeth. Various brief extracts from the play, in rehearsal and in the final stage performance, are shown throughout the film.
