Synopsis
Recording of a live streamed presentation of Berlioz’s 1839 Roméo et Juliette, a ‘symphonie dramatique’ presenting the story in seven parts. Performed at the Washington National Cathedral with dance interludes featuring members of the Atlanta Ballet choreographed by Claudia Schreier. The orchestra is conducted by Steven Fox. Soloists include Krisztina Szabó, mezzo-soprano; Patrick Kilbride, tenor; and Kevin Deas, bass-baritone.
