- Title
- Teacher’s pay - nd [May 1984]
- Description
- Interviews with NUT’s Tom Wheaton and Berkshire Education Chairman Frank Butters regarding teachers dispute. Used on 19 July 1985, as last day of term before the summer holidays. Schools across the Thames Valley and North Hampshire broke up for the summer holidays today, at the end of a school year which has seen continued disruption in the classrooms. Thousands of pupils have been hit by strike action taken by their teachers in support of their pay claim. They believe 4.5percent is a reasonable pay rise for the teachers. Penny Silvester reports.
