- Mike Matthews in association with Vincent’s BMW this week visits the village life of Woodcote. It lies 8 miles Nortwest of Reading, on the B4074, in Southern Oxfordshire. One single track with 7 interviews: 1- This village hosts a steam, vintage and veteran transport Fair and Matthews talks with an expert on this kind of transport. He has a great interest and has a collection of these engines until today. 2- On the edge of the village, there is a bus company and Mike talks with Tony who has run this company for 20 years. He talks about the bus company history and other things. 3- Leaving the village, we visit the home of Jack. He has a life long connection with this village and knows all about the history, the people and the transformation of the village over the years. 5- Another visit to the home of Joe. He used to live in a caravan and travel all the time. 4- The eldest person to live in this village is Margaret, a lady who is a 100-years-old, and she still remembers her childhood in the village. 6- Visit to the home of Peter who has a great interest on the history of this village. He talks about notorious murders, accidents, etc. 7- Finally, to the home of Norman, a salesman who can sell anything. He remembers his childhood. [Box 4]
