- Description
- SUNDAY SUPPLEMENT: A series of programmes with interviews and music, transmitted from 16:00 to 17:00 on Ocean Sound North. The Light FM. Presented by Adam Harding and others where mentioned. Most interviews were recorded on location - hence the tape atmosphere. CD14 - Interview with Norman Thelwell. Born 3 May 1923, a cartoonist from Romsey. Since he produced his first volume about horses and riding 30 years ago, the expression Thelwell ponies has more or less well passed onto the English language. He is well-known for his humorous illustrations of ponies and horses. Known to many only as Thelwell, he found his true comic niche with girls and ponies refusing fences, a subject for which he became most well-known. He talks about his life and his career. [Box 11]
