Summary
Italian railway guns in action being fired by co-beligerent Italian gunners who fire the German-made shells into the German lines. Ruined town of Cassino, showing piles of rubble with British soldiers firing mortars from the ruins. German prisoners are marched along the road by New Zealand Maoris, many of the prisoners are young men. Italian farmers return to their work again in the fields and vineyards near Cassino. A BBC recording van was put out of action by a shell burst. No-one was hurt but the equipment inside is badly damaged.
