Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Snow. DESCRIPTION: Around Christmas and the New Year the country had some of the worst winter weather for years. PARIS HAD IT TOO LIGHTER ASPECTS OF THE COLD SPELL SHOTLIST: Snow covers everything and winter sports including skiing are enjoyed (by some?). Victor Mardon has trouble with his pipes but locates the trouble with a candle. Up and down the countryside snow hangs from the trees and churches are covered. The Serpentine is frozen. Transport is made very difficult. Frozen burst pipes with ice hanging from windows etc.
