MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: HMS "Koala" Launched. DESCRIPTION: A boom defence ship, designed to lay anti-submarine nets, was launched at Cockatoo Docks, Sydney. SHOTLIST: The new Boom ship HMS "Koala" is launched in Sydney by Mrs Custance. As soon as the ship is in the water the boilers and fittings are lowered in by means of cranes.
