MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The French Celebrate 14th July. DESCRIPTION: A year ago the French under President Lebrun celebrated Bastille Day as free people. General de Gaulle leads this year’s ceremony at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. SHOTLIST: Troops march past the Cenotaph. General de Gaulle lays wreath with Admiral Muselier. March past. At the Foch statue, General de Gaulle also lays a wreath. Used with this were shots of last year’s celebrations. They were used on the beginning so suggest they are filed separately again (CARD 37026).
