- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bell "Airacobra" in Service With the RAF. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Air Force is reported to be very pleased with the Airacobras - the American fighter. SHOTLIST: The aeroplanes are lined up. Shots showing the unusual features - the rear-mounted engine, the entrance door and the tricycle undercarriage. The planes take off and fly over the camera in formation. There are aerial scenes which are very, very good. They show the planes in line-abreast formation. The "Airacobra" is also known as the Bell P400 and formerly as the "Caribou". The American service designation is P-39.
