Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke of Gloucester at Gibraltar. DESCRIPTION: The Duke of Gloucester has visited Gibraltar and made an extensive tour of the defences. SHOTLIST: The Duke attends a luncheon given by Lord Gort at which the following are present: Senor-y-Barron-y-Ortez, Marquese de Povois, General Barron. Colonel Gonzales Pons, Marques de Vallicennati. They then tour the underground workings, see a new aerodrome site on which is a French fighter and then they inspect coastal and AA artillery, some of which goes into action. Lord Gort and his Royal visitor travel round the rock in a launch - excellent shots. The Duke also inspects and reviews the garrison and watches landing exercises (cuts only). Very good shots of Gibraltar (medium shot).
