- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: In Hamble, Hampshire, we visit the factory where Firefly racing dinghies are built. to see how modern methods are applied to the age-old craft of boat-building. The boats are not made of stout timber, but of layers of thin veneer, bonded together in an outsize oven to form a hull of impressive strength which will stand up to tremendous battering. [The method is called hot moulding.]
