Summary
Pathe synopsis: Not like Merrycombe village, at Babbacombe, near Torquay. A model village which is only part of four acres of town-and-country planning in miniature. They’ve built a New Town, here, one twelfth of its real-life scale, sports fields and superb landscape gardening. A toyland slice of countryside, where, oddly, adult visitors outnumber children by more than four to one, lingering on the green over a cricket match where life centres round the rustic church.
