Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Food Supplies in Western Desert. DESCRIPTION: Keeping the troops supplied with food and essentials is a vast undertaking. Foodstuff has to be analysed to make sure it is fit for consumption. SHOTLIST: At the base an analyst test all food-stuffs which are to be sent forward. Stores are loaded onto the desert train, which includes, cigarettes, tinned meat, tinned milk and meat etc. The train makes its way across the desert with RAF escort. On arrival at rail-head, the train is met by MT convoy and is unloaded. When convoys are loaded, officer give signal for convoy to leave. On arrival at camp food inspected by Company officer and views of the men are shown enjoying a meal.
