- Pathe synopsis: The weird radar domes perched on remote Fylingdales Moor look like a lunar outpost but they really are evidence that we’re in the space age. It’s the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System where the RAF monitors listen to the sound of the stars, track satellites and meteorites, but their real task is to watch out for a hostile missile that might appear over the 3,000 miles of horizon to the north and east. Computers check everything that comes through the giant dish aerial. Then the V-bombers would be the last link in a chain of events designed to prevent an event...
