- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: ...but here’s an event that’s as ridiculous to see as the Vulcan bomber’s flight is sublime. A marathon pedal-car race fought out at Bristol by students raising money for charity in a collection of junk-heap juggernauts, home-made to the last shaky nut and bolt. When competitors from every university and college in the country get hot there’s a car they can have bath in, and although most of these tin-can carts don’t look as if they’re going to make it, the thrilling battle at the finishing line makes Le Mans look timid.
