MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Dr Evatt Visits Australian Fighter Squadron. DESCRIPTION: The Australian Minister for External Affairs recently visited an Australian Fighter Squadron in the Home Counties. Among the pilots he met was Squadron Leader Paddy Finucane (two DSO’s and three DFC’s) the pilot ace from Ireland. SHOTLIST: 1. Dr Evatt makes a speech to the pilots and ground crews. 2. There is a group around a Spitfire which includes Dr Evatt and Group Captain Atcherly. Cuts. 3. Very good close up of Squadron Leader Paddy Finucane and various Australian RAF officers. 4. Close up of Flt Lt PH Watson, Australia’s latest DFC (smiling). 5. Excellent close-up of Squadron Leader Finucane. 6. Group, including Captain Atcherly and Finucane. Cuts. 7. Dr Evatt takes tea from NAAFI tea van with ground crew.
