- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: King & Queen at Civil Defence Display. DESCRIPTION: Britain’s day of Thanksgiving was also Civil Defence Day and the Service at St Paul’s Cathedral was attended by the King and Queen. In the parade all the "blitz" towns and cities had units. SHOTLIST: Cut story - K&Q getting out of car, being greeted by the Dean in the porchway of the cathedral. K&Q out of camera to side of cathedral from where they are going to take salute. Shot of procession, showing police, firemen, cut-in King saluting with Queen by his side, back to procession. Shot of band stationary playing. ARP representing past; various shots of crowds, people sitting on window sill; ARP filing into St Paul’s Cathedral, MS of same & into camera. Finishes with a look up shot of St Paul’s Cathedral VG.
