- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Athens Pays Tribute to Britain. DESCRIPTION: Greek Trade Union officials recently visited the British Embassy in Athens, to make the feelings of the Greek people clear to the British authorities. A big demonstration was also held in the streets of Athens in which the crowds were Royalists or EDES supporters. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Elevated shot of crowds in Constitution Square, slow pan. In the grounds of British Embassy, Greek Trade Union Leaders, received by Mr R Leeper, British Ambassador. GV of them shaking hands with R Leeper. SCU Leeper. One of the Leaders having his moustache combed. General Scobie receives deputation of Greeks, dressed in National Costume. Various shots, all angles of procession through streets of Athens.
