MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Launching of the "Beaverdell". DESCRIPTION: The freighter "Beaverdell" is launched on the Clyde. The guests at the ceremony included Sir Harry Lauder. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Ship on stocks. Pan down stern, showing name. Men remove stocks. Crowds. CU Sir Harry Lauder arrives. CU more stocks removed. CU Mrs Coleman christens the ship and as her siren sounds the freighter goes down the slipway.
