MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Australia Has Flood Trouble. DESCRIPTION: As the result of severe hurricanes and exceptionally heavy rains, disaster has overwhelmed large areas in New South Wales. SHOTLIST: KS Aerial shots of flooded area. Children ride about in boats through flooded streets. Boy in bathing costume wades through water past petrol station, water about 3 feet deep. This is caused by overflowing of Richmond River. At Tweed River, the bridge partly submerged, other bridges collapsed. Coaches full with people stranded by roadside. Livestock stand about on small bits of high ground, others float about dead in water. Pan of crops ruined by flooding. Ducks swimming about enjoy themselves. Various shots of isolated residential areas, houses wrecked, washed away, various shots, pan flooded area.
