- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Women’s Land Army. DESCRIPTION: In recognition of the hard and valuable work during the war, members of the Women’s Land Army met the Queen at the Mansion House, London. SHOTLIST: KS Interior - Queen enters the above. Women’s Land Army girls all standing. Queen walks to the stage. Cut-ins of WLA girls. Queen presents arm-bands to all those who have done six years service or more, various shots of presentations. Queen says "I cannot present you all with arm-bands so would you who have served six years please place them on your arms", cut-in WLA girls placing same on their arms. Queen then asks everybody to sit and she addresses them, thanking them and offering her gratitude etc.
