MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Call to Increase Production. Mr Isaacs Interview - Minister of Labour. DESCRIPTION: The Government’s Production Drive continues and Mr Isaacs, Minister of Labour, has recently met with Mr McGuinness of the National Employees Federation and Mr Duke of the TUC. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: Library - KS GV factory with many smoking chimneys. Steam locomotive passing through factory. Miners work at coal face, shovelling coal onto conveyor. Various shots of ships being loaded with cases for export, cranes swing cases over hold. Interior, women work in cotton factory, spinning. Man works at bench, another planing wood. Workers leave factories, several shots - Library ends. Interior - group shot Mr Duke, Mr Isaacs, Mr McGuinness (TUC). MS of them talking with one another, about increasing production, also talk about a Punch cartoon, cut-ins of the cartoon. CU pan of the three as each speaks. CU Mr Isaacs speaking, saying how we need the Dunkirk spirit to increase production.
