- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Baor Families Are Off. DESCRIPTION: The wives and children of troops serving in Germany leave Tilbury to join their husbands and fathers. They arrive at the port of Cuxhaven where some are re-united and others travel on. SHOTLIST: KS Families line ship’s deck as it pulls away. Ditto. SCU families, wives and babies standing on deck of ship. MS families on decks. Child on deck wrapped in blanket, (ship is SS Empire Halladale). Children play on deck, climb ladders etc. In the dining lounge. In ship’s nursery. Army officials check BAOR wives’ papers. CU papers. Approaching Cuxhaven port. Banner reading Welcome to British Zone. Families disembark, troops kissing and embracing their wives etc. Troops direct new arrivals, luggage being carried by Germans.
