MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Byrnes Stuttgart Speech. DESCRIPTION: Mr Byrnes, American Secretary of State, spoke in Stuttgart on America’s policy on Germany. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Elevated shot of Stuttgart ruins. German people line streets, Byrnes’ car arrives, shakes hands with American Army officer, enters building. Interior LS Byrnes and SV Byrnes speaking about US policy don’t let us misunderstand one another, we are staying here as long as there’s an army of occupation, but we want the German people to regain their place in the world.
