MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Christmas Preview. DESCRIPTION: AUSTRALIA - In Adelaide there is a pre-Christmas Parade with Father Christmas making a personal appearance. FRANCE - The shops in Paris have a pre-war look about them and mechanical toys are popular with the children. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS GV procession in streets of Adelaide. Various angle shots of Christmas procession through streets of Adelaide. Ground shots of grotesque carnival figures parading through streets, including snake which breaks in two. Father Christmas rides in sleigh drawn by reindeers. SCU Father Christmas acknowledging crowds. PARIS - Various shots of window displays, mechanical dolls etc. all running. Cut-ins of children looking through windows, finishing on SCU child’s nose flattened against window pane.
