MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Attlee Opens Block of Flats. DESCRIPTION: The Prime Minister opens a new block of flats in Stepney the first of its kind to be completed in London since the war. SHOTLIST: Raining - KS Attlee and Mrs Attlee walking towards dais, on arrival. SCU & CU Attlee speaking to people hope that you will be good neighbours, good citizens etc. GV block of flats. Attlee approaches same, cuts ribbon with pair of scissors, Attlee enters flats. Interior - fire place; sewing machine; girl placing bed-warmer in bed; cooking oven, refrigerator, girl places articles in refrigerator. GV room, girl at desk writing, with radio on left of room.
