MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Test Match - 5th V South Africans. DESCRIPTION: The Fifth Test between England and South Africa at the Oval ended in a draw. SHOTLIST: KS GV of ground at Oval with gasometer full. Scoreboard. SCU Cranston bowling Fullerton, who is caught by Howarth in gully (unseen). SCU Howarth bowling Rowan for a duck, stumps parted. SCU Copson bowling Smith LBW. Scoreboard at 302 all out. GV gasworkers on gasometers watching match. Denis Compton hitting ball and making another century. Wicket being brushed and groomed during innings. South Africans bat again, Viljeon stumped by Godfrey Evans off of ball bowled by Howarth. MS Nourse batting. Nourse walks off. Various shots including SCU of Mitchell batting. Close of play, teams walk off. Mitchell patted on back as he walks through pavilion.
