MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Syrian Army Manoeuvres. DESCRIPTION: Syria’s troops carry out manoeuvres close to the border with Palestine, as a token gesture of Arab resolve to resist partition. SHOTLIST: KS Armoured car crosses street. Lt Colonel Abdul Wahab El Hakim, instructs officers using relief map in sand in front of him. MS observation post, troops run across open country, through villages, tank passes through village street. Small artillery camouflaged with trees etc. firing. Armoured car passes along street. Various shots of troops running across country.
