Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Gales Batter English Coast. DESCRIPTION: High seas lashing the coast at Seaford, Sussex. Houses damaged at North Lancing, caused by the gale, also greenhouses blown down. Streets in Seaford were flooded and at Shoream a bus lies in the river, having been blown there. SHOTLIST: KS High seas break over seafront. Various angle shots of same, breaking right over roadway. Sea water runs through street. Car driven through water. Cyclist going through water. Rowboat outside house, owner of house baling out water from front of house. LANCING - Several shots of wrecked house, side blown away in gale. Pans of wrecked glass-houses. . SHOREHAM - Bus lying in river, where it had been blown from bridge during gale. Shots of broken bridge, also bus being towed out of water.
