Summary
Shots of Cassino - bombed into rubble. General Callan, who planned the attack on the city, is seen conferring with other Allied heads on strategy. Shots of Bostons and Mitchells (3,000) on raid. Aerial view of bombardment, commentary telling us that a very large amount of explosive was used for a small city. German gunners keep up fire in the north of Cassino, while in the city itself excessive rubble impedes Allied troops.
