- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Free Election in Trieste. DESCRIPTION: In Trieste elections have taken place to decide whether it should go back under Italian rule or not. The result showed that 65% voted for the return. SHOTLIST: KS. Elevated GV of street of Trieste. MS people displaying posters. SCU of big banner "Liberte" & men painting same. Posters littered all over walls. MS statue with posters stuck over same. MS people read same. Various shots of different posters. Several shots people at the polls casting their votes. Interior - people place votes in ballots boxes. Exterior - Highly decorative lorry passes through streets people on same waving flags etc - into & out of camera.
